What We Handle
- Residential yard fence — 4 ft and 5 ft galvanized, often the affordable way to enclose a back yard
- Dog yards — sized to the dog, with proper gate hardware that latches every time
- Commercial security — 6 ft and 8 ft with optional barbed wire or razor top, privacy slats, and locking gates
- Equipment yards — contractor and storage sites
- Sports / athletic fields — backstops, ball-field perimeter, batting cages
- Kennel fence — tighter mesh, runs, double-gated entries
Galvanized vs. Vinyl-Coated
Galvanized is the classic silver chain link — durable, the standard for commercial and farm work, and the most affordable option. Vinyl-coated chain link comes in black, green, or brown and visually disappears into a hedge or treeline far better than silver. Costs a bit more upfront, looks dramatically nicer for residential and HOA properties.
Why Most Chain Link Fails Early
Bad chain link installs share a few common problems:
- No tension wire — chain link needs a tensioned wire along the top and bottom of the fabric. Without it, the fabric pulls away from posts and sags within a year.
- Undersized corner braces — corners and gate posts take all the tension and need proper diagonal bracing. Cheap installs skip this and the corners pull in.
- Posts not concrete-set — same as wood fence: posts need to be set in concrete below frost line.
- Gates with the wrong hardware — chain link gates need heavy-duty hinges sized to the gate’s weight and width. Light residential hinges on a 12 ft drive gate fail fast.
Adding Privacy to Chain Link
Two main options: privacy slats (vertical plastic strips woven into the chain link) for around 60–80% privacy, or windscreen fabric for nearly 100% privacy on commercial sites. Both retrofit onto existing chain link without replacing the fence.
How We Price Chain Link
Linear-foot pricing with adjustments for height, gauge, coating, gate count and size, and site access. We quote in writing after we know the perimeter and use case. Here’s how our quotes work.
