The McNairy County Fence Builder Who Shows Up
A fence is a 20-year decision. The posts go in once. The gate hangs straight or it doesn’t. The line is straight or it isn’t. We’re a McNairy County-based fence company — we live here, we build fences here, and we’ll be around to come back if a gate ever needs adjusting.
Quotes are free and in writing. Most jobs we can give a rough number over the phone once we know linear footage, height, and gate count. Call (731) 982-2012 and tell us what you’re building.
What We Build
From a 100 ft cedar privacy fence around the back yard to 2,000 ft of barbed wire around a new pasture — new installs, replacements, and the unsexy-but-essential repair work that keeps existing fences working.
Privacy Fence Installation in McNairy County, TN
Cedar dog-ear, board-on-board, shadow-box, and vinyl privacy panels. We set posts properly — below frost line, in concrete, on the layout you want — so the fence stays straight and the gates keep working. Standard heights 6 ft and 8 ft, custom heights on request.
Galvanized and vinyl-coated (black/green) chain link from 4 ft yard fence to 8 ft commercial security. Tension wires top and bottom, properly braced corner posts, walk gates and drive gates sized to actual openings.
Barbed wire (5-strand standard), woven wire field fence, high-tensile electric, and combination cattle/horse fence. T-posts and treated wood corners. We’ve fenced enough McNairy County pasture to know which grades hold posts, which need rock-anchored corners, and how to handle creek crossings and gates.
Vinyl privacy panels, traditional picket, two- and three-rail ranch fence. No painting, no staining, no rot. Costs more upfront than wood but doesn’t need redoing every few years. White, tan, and woodgrain finishes available.
Aluminum & Ornamental Iron Fence in McNairy County, TN
Powder-coated aluminum that meets pool-fence code, ornamental iron for driveway entries and yard accents. Black and bronze finishes most common. Walk gates with self-closing pool-code latches when required.
Most fences don’t need full replacement — they need a leaning post reset, a sagging gate rehung, a few panels replaced, or storm-down sections rebuilt. We diagnose and quote the actual repair, not a wholesale rebuild you don’t need.
Commercial & Industrial Fence in McNairy County, TN
Commercial chain link with privacy slats or barbed-wire top, security gates with controlled access, equipment-yard and storage-lot fencing, school and athletic-field perimeter. COI on file, W-9 available, RFP-ready quotes.
The single most important thing about a fence: posts in concrete, below frost line, on the layout the customer wants. Cut corners on this and the fence leans within two years. Done right, it stays straight for 20+.
Locally Owned, McNairy Based
We live here. If your gate ever sags or a panel breaks in five years, you call us and we come fix it. Out-of-county crews drive away and you never hear from them again.
We Honestly Quote Repair vs. Replace
Plenty of fences look bad but only need a few posts reset and a couple of panels replaced. We diagnose the actual problem and quote the fix — not a wholesale rebuild you don’t need.
Insured and Honest About Risks
We carry liability insurance and we call 811 before any digging. We’ll walk the line with you, flag where buried utilities, sprinkler lines, and septic might be, and tell you straight what we’re uncertain about.
Written Quotes Before the Job
You see the linear footage, the material, the gate count, the layout, and the total in writing before any post hole gets dug. No surprise “we ran into rock” charges — if rock is a real risk we tell you upfront.
Gates That Work
Most fence complaints we hear from other companies’ jobs are about gates — sagging, scraping, latches that don’t catch. We hang gates properly the first time, with the right hinges and bracing for the gate size and use.

What McNairy County Says About Us
“Cedar privacy fence around the whole back yard, plus a drive gate. Crew was on time, posts went in straight, gate has been swinging clean for two years. Already had them back to do my mother-in-law’s.”
“Needed about 1,800 feet of field fence around the new pasture. They handled the corner braces, the gates, even came back to redo one stretch that crossed a soft spot. Fair price, good people.”
“Old chain link around the dog yard had sagged for years. Most companies told me I needed to replace the whole thing. These guys reset four posts, replaced one section, retensioned the rest, and charged what felt like a third of a full replacement. Solid.”
Common McNairy County Fence Questions
How much does fence installation cost per linear foot?
It varies a lot by material and height. Chain link is the most affordable, cedar privacy mid-range, vinyl and ornamental aluminum on the higher end. Height matters too — a 6 ft privacy fence prices very differently from an 8 ft. We quote in writing after we know the linear footage, the material, the height, and the gate count. Here’s how our quotes work.
How long does a privacy fence last?
Cedar privacy fence, properly built (posts in concrete, treated bottom rails, quality pickets) lasts 15–25 years before major work is needed. Vinyl lasts 30+ years with no maintenance. Both numbers drop fast if the posts weren’t set right — that’s the single biggest failure point.
Do I need a permit?
Inside Selmer, Adamsville, or Bethel Springs city limits, yes — check with the city before we start, and we’ll work with you on inspection requirements. Outside city limits in the rural county, generally no permit, but you should check your HOA covenants if you have any. Pool fences have specific code regardless of location.
Do you do barbed wire and farm fence?
Yes — that’s a big part of our work in McNairy County. 5-strand barbed wire, woven wire field fence, high-tensile electric, combination cattle and horse fence. See our farm fence page.
